How do I get my recipes into Zimmer?

There are several ways in: share a link from the browser or Instagram, share a food video from TikTok or YouTube, take a photo of the page in your cookbook or of a dish you want to make, or type the recipe yourself. You can also ask Zimmie to create a brand-new one. Whichever way, it ends up in the same place: in your book, ready for the meal plan, with ingredients and steps in place.

Which recipe sites can I import from?

Zimmer can pull recipes from most recipe sites: Danish and international blogs, newspapers, and pages with the recipe in the text. What you pull in from your favorite places is your own: it lives in your cookbooks and can't be shared in Zimmer's feed. If a site doesn't work, write to us. We'll take a look.

Can Zimmer pull recipes from TikTok and Instagram?

Yes. Share the video with Zimmer the way you'd share it with a friend. Zimmer listens to the video and puts the recipe together with ingredients and steps. It also works with YouTube, Reels and screenshots of recipes.

I never know what to cook. How does Zimmer help?

That question is the reason the app exists. Look in Explore when you're short on ideas, ask Zimmie what you can make with what you have, or set the week on Sunday so the question never comes up at 5 pm.

Can Zimmer make the meal plan for me?

Yes, when you ask. Ask Zimmie to put the week together from what you like and what's in your pantry. Adjust it yourself afterwards. The shopping list follows along on its own.

How does the shopping list work?

It pretty much writes itself. Put dishes in the meal plan, and the items gather on the list, combined across recipes and sorted by aisle so it's easy to shop. Items get price estimates in Danish kroner, so you can see roughly where the week lands. Zimmer can also show yellow-sticker Salling deals on items already on the list.

What is the pantry?

Your overview of what you already have at home: pasta, cans, spices and freezer items, with amounts. Scan your receipt after shopping and the items sort themselves into place. A glance before you shop, so you don't buy the third jar of capers. And the app can show you which recipes you can make with what's already on the shelf.

Can I share with my family?

Yes. Share a kitchen with a partner, family, housemates or whoever you shop with. Everyone sees the calendar, recipes and shopping live.

What's under Explore?

Two things: people's own shared recipes and Zimmer's curated feed: Danish classics and international favorites, many made in the kitchen together by Zimmie and Zimmer's cooks. Browse through on Explore, and drop what you fancy straight into the week's plan.

What exactly is Zimmie?

Zimmie is Zimmer's little AI kitchen helper — a mushroom in a chef's hat. You can ask Zimmie to build meal plans, suggest recipes from what you have on hand, and add items to the shopping list. Type or talk to Zimmie in plain English.

Does the AI decide what I eat?

No — and that's on purpose. Choosing the food is the fun part, and it's yours. Zimmie suggests when you ask, and clears the work around the choice: the plan, the list, the overview. Never the other way around.

Will I get better at cooking with Zimmer?

That's the idea. The recipe steps can unfold with small tips from the kitchen: why the onions need time, when the pan is ready. Zimmer doesn't cook for you; it makes it easier to get good at it.
